We could all use more sleep in this house!

If they'd nap during the day we wouldn't have these issues...like yesterday afternoon. We were just about to head out about 5:30, I was on the phone and the next thing I see is Luke out...WITH his backpack on and THREE pair of underwear inside which he insisted on brining to a sleepover at Nani's house . Don't ask me why!!

Today Jakey refused a nap but around 6pm sleep got the best of him.

Bradley's Birthday!

We celebrated Brad's 35th birthday on the April 21st with pizza, homemade party hats (I KNOW, they look store bought, huh?!), carrot cake (his fav), balloons, a few decorations and a lot of love.

We e-mail Brad this pic earlier in the day to let him know we think he's pretty super!

Luke and I made a "#1 Super Dad" medal for Brad along with some Shrinky Dink keychains..."#1 Super Dad" and "#1 Husband" (you can't BUY stuff that good!!).

Jakey was more interested in sucking the frosting off the ends of the candles to really care about much of anything! Look at that face!

After dinner activities...

I'm considering not feeding my children dinner anymore. For some reason after dinner "their" witching hour is in full affect! I promise I'm providing them a balanced meal and not a plateful of sugar! Anyways, here are pics of the fun "we" had last night. As you can see they have found creative uses for the toy grocery cart and couch...

This is the life!

Future World's Strongest Man...look at that leverage!

AND...our future astronaut...
One big step for man and a giant leap for mankind!

Easter & 'the cruiser'

Just thought I'd post some cute Easter pics for your viewing pleasure...

AND pics of my new beach cruiser!! The bike trailer is on loan from a friend but I bought the bike off craigslist...my favorite shopping indulgence (next to Longs Drugs...so sad, but true! haha). I might have to splurge and buy a trailer of our owne...Jake, Luke and I took a 40 minute bike ride tonight. Luke rode his own bike while Jake enjoyed being chauffeured around "the hood"!! Wow, I can't believe I am at this point in motherhood already...out biking with my kids!! It's amazing!

The Story of Easter bt Luke

Last week we dealt with saying goodbye to Phife...this week I'm dealing with Luke a.k.a. HiveBoy. (God is keeping me on my toes these days with one thing after another...) Poor guy has hives all over his little body...dr says it's a virus and not contagious. I gave him Benodryl to reduce the itching. Yesterday morning he was a scratching maniac but today he was wasn't itchy even though he still had the rash.

My main reason for posting tonight is to upload this video of Luke telling the story of Easter. A friend told me about these eggs enclosed with little objects that make sharing the story of Easter easy with kids. Luke loves them and is a sponge for information. I can see in his eyes, actions and enthusiasm throughout the day that he has a heart for God...what more could a mother ask for!?
